POSTPONED: Racial Literacy Dialogue-Shop
Updated: Mar 21, 2019
THESE SESSIONS HAVE BEEN TEMPORARILY POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE SO AS TO ACCOMMODATE A MAJORITY AUDIENCE. NEW DATES WILL BE CIRCULATED SOON. APOLOGIES FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
Following the last article on Racial Literacy that I published, there was so much demand to continue the discussion in a safe, offline space.
As per your requests, L & N Advisors, in partnership with Tuliza Sindi from The Spin Cycle, will be hosting a series of Racial Literacy Dialogue-shops in which we will explore racial literacy and how we have been racialised, especially in the South African context. We've designed a short-course that will grant you a safe space to explore some of these topics with others who are willing to journey, dig deep and find our common humanity through disrupting the deep socially constructed structures that keep us apart.
The course provides a productive opportunity for learning, sharing, making mistakes and still relearning in these discussions. We will also provide insight into how to read and resolve racially stressful encounters.
If you are committed to being a better ancestor than those that came before you, this course is for you.
The course exists in four parts, with the first session intended to start on 23 March 2019. Every session will be from 11:30 - 14:30.
The cost for the first session is R250 and payment can be made via EFT to:
